Brewed first. Preserved light. Ready anywhere.

Coffee for the
way through.

A proper cup without carrying the whole ritual. Esker is brewed for taste, carefully preserved into a light travel-ready form, and made for early starts, long drives, quiet stops and difficult mornings.

What “preserved light” means

The cup is made
before it travels.

Most convenience coffee begins with the problem of making a powder. Esker begins with the problem of making a genuinely enjoyable cup.

We brew the coffee first, then carefully remove the water while protecting as much of the brewed character as possible. What remains is light, stable and ready to become coffee again with hot water.

The technical process is freeze-drying. We keep that explanation available for clarity, but it is the method—not the main promise. The promise is simpler: properly brewed coffee, preserved for the road.

01Brew

Develop the finished flavour as a real brewed coffee.

02Preserve

Remove the water at low temperature to make the cup light and stable.

03Restore

Add hot water, stir, and bring the brewed cup back in seconds.

Built for the places between cafés

A proper cup,
wherever the road opens.

The Esker pack is small enough for a camera bag, van door, desk drawer or walking kit. These concept photographs show the product in the situations it is being designed for: travel, work, quiet stops and simple mornings outside.

Choose the road ahead

Good coffee,
without the gear.

Each single-serve pouch makes one proper cup. Keep a few in the van, camera bag, desk drawer or cabin cupboard, and make the difficult mornings a little easier.

Why Esker

A route through hard territory.

An esker is a ridge left behind by a river moving beneath ancient ice. Across Ireland, these raised lines became reliable routes through softer, difficult ground.

That is what this coffee is for: not to rush the moment, but to give you a small point of orientation. A pause. Then a way forward.

“A small, steady way into the day.”

A simpler ritual

Tear. Pour.
Add water. Pause.

Esker starts as properly brewed coffee. The water is then carefully removed to preserve the brewed cup in a lighter, longer-lasting form that is far easier to carry.

Made for the gaps

Where a good cup
usually gets lost.

01

Long drives

For service stations, early ferries and the quiet stop where you would rather make your own.

02

Workdays

Keep a pouch in the camera bag, desk drawer or site kit for the part of the day nobody planned.

03

Outside

Good coffee for campsites, cabins, hilltops and the riverbank—without packing a whole brewing system.

04

Foggy starts

For mornings when the smallest possible ritual is the one you will actually manage.

A note from the route

Convenience should not mean giving up on the cup.

Esker is being built slowly: testing the brew, the drying curve, the pouch and the ritual. The aim is not to replace your favourite café. It is to make the places between cafés much better.

Good to know

The practical
questions.

Still wondering about something? Email hello@eskercoffee.ie.

Is this ordinary instant coffee?+

No. Esker begins as properly brewed coffee. The brewed cup is carefully preserved into a light, stable form that becomes coffee again when hot water is added. The technical preservation method is freeze-drying, but the finished cup—not the process—is the point.

How much water should I add?+

Start with 200 ml for a fuller cup, or move towards 250 ml for a longer, lighter drink. Stir well and adjust to your taste.

Where is it made and packed?+

Esker is currently produced and packed in small pilot batches in Ireland.

Does it need special equipment?+

No grinder, brewer or filters. You only need a cup, hot water and something to stir with.

Will subscriptions be available?+

Yes. Stripe can handle recurring payment links and let customers manage their own billing through a secure customer portal. The sensible sequence is to prove the repeat order first, then open a monthly 20-cup route once production is reliable.
